Personality:
Moonstripe has a calm personality. She keeps her head together in times of need, and will take charge of an otherwise frenzied situation. She is determined and strong. She would've made an excellent warrior with her skills - which she has to use every so often - if not for her fear of shedding blood. She likes to stop blood, not shed it. She is a true medicine cat, though she sometimes has her doubts that StarClan is the almighty and can do anything. She believes that the Clans make their own choices and StarClan adapts to what they do. She's friendly and fun, though she somewhat holds a grudge against WindClan, for what happened to her father.
History:
Moonstripe was born to Icestorm, a ShadowClan deputy, and Mudmoon, a ShadowClan queen. She was born to a family who valued the warrior code above all. Never break a rule. They spoke out against it whenever a rule was broken. Her family was strict. Her brother and sister, Dustkit and Snowkit, along with her, Moonkit, were taught never to step out of line. To always do what you were expected of.
Soon enough, they became apprentices, but Moonpaw didn't want to be a warrior. She had all the skills - people thought she'd be a wonderful deputy, just like her father. But she didn't want it. Mudmoon and Icestorm had always thought that their kits would be the best warriors the Clan had ever seen. They didn't see it in their future that their daughter would turn her back on her warrior destiny, and follow in the steps of the medicine cat, Frogfoot.
Her parents were disappointed in what had happened. And they hadn't seen it in their painted future that Snowpaw would turn her back on the Clans all together to become a kittypet. Only Dustpaw was following the path Mudmoon and Icestorm had set for them. Dustpaw was the only one that met the warriors' expectations. Snowpaw and Moonpaw were disappointments and weren't acknowledged. It was as if Snowpaw had never existed and Moonpaw was just another cat in the Clan. While every other cat was proud of Moonpaw, and had respected Snowpaw's decision, Mudmoon and Icestorm were bitter toward their decisions.
Dustpaw got his warrior name in no time. Now Dustcloud, he was one of the best warriors ShadowClan had seen. But their were two greater warriors than he - Icestorm and Mudmoon. And Moonpaw's talents put her above him already. Dustcloud was resentful. Moonpaw got all the attention, while Dustcloud was just another warrior. A resent grew in him. Soon enough it would explode.
Moonpaw got her medicine cat name soon enough. Moonstripe had all the talents for her medicine destiny as well. Frogfoot was extremely proud of what his apprentice had become. He was getting old though, and when ShadowClan was attacked by WindClan, she not only lost Icestorm, but her father figure. Frogfoot lived through the battle, but his wounds were too much. In his last breath, he told her that she was the daughter he never had.
She wasn't sad when her father, Icestorm, had died as well. She hadn't known him. Icestorm had refused to acknowledge her after she had chosen her path. Mudmoon and Dustcloud were sad. But not her. She was sad that she had lost a patient, had lost her deputy, that her Clan had been weakened slightly, but not sad that her biological father had died. She saw Frogfoot as her father - he was a better father than Icestorm had ever been. Her mentor had encouraged everything she did and helped her with her mistakes. Through her mistakes. Become what she was. She carried a resentment toward WindClan for killing him.
And Dustcloud's anger had been building and building and building. Soon after Icestorm's death, he snapped. All he ever heard was "Moonstripe's doing a fabulous job, with her loss," and "Icestorm was the best thing ShadowClan has ever seen, after Flamestar*, of course." He snapped and, while he was on patrol, he snuck away and threw himself onto the Thunderpath in the path of an oncoming monster.
ShadowClan was suffering a loss. But Moonstripe helped them out of it, and they owe her for it. She kept her head, and while the Clan was in a frenzy of 'what do we do?' Moonstripe helped them out of their rut. She is one of the best cats ShadowClan has ever had.
Other:
WOOT! She is fineeshed!!!!
Example Of RPing:
Moonstripe's pelt shone white in the dapples of sunlight in the ShadowClan camp. Her eyes closed in contempt, sniffing the crisp air of leaffall. Her tail thumped against the ground as a soft rumbling began in her chest. She stretched out, feeling her agile limbs stretch nicely.
"Hello Moonstripe," Rosecloud* called out from the Nursery. Rosecloud's dark tabby pelt lit up like honey in the sun, and her yellow eyes glowed like the sun itself. Moonstripe smiled back, nodding her head. "How is Rabbitpaw*?"
The white apprentice had been injured on the Thunderpath two nights ago. He hadn't seen the black strip of smelling earth, and had been hit at the side of the path. A snake had bit his nose the day before, and it was clogged and stuffy. He couldn't have smelled it. The Clan was worried that Rabbitpaw wouldn't make it. But Moonstripe had seen that Rabbitpaw would become great in the future; she was confident that the tom would be just fine.
"Rabbitpaw is great, Rosecloud. He will survive. You can stop worrying now," the cream tabby said gently. Rosecloud sighed in relief and shoved her way back into the Nursery. Moonstripe laughed to herself, heaving her small body up and padding away back to the medicine den.
