Shore gazed at the sky, waiting. Waiting for someone to come along and talk. She was very bored. "Anyone here," she asked, turning towards a bush, "I want to play or talk or something! Can someone save me from my boredom!" She ran to her blanket and sat down, still waiting and gazing at the sky.

White paws raced through the small clearing of the Twoleg nest, not only solid white but dusted with snow. Sadie didn't go outside much. But maybe there'll be some adventure today. she thought. It wasn't of her to go outside and be with other cats. She'd spend most of her time with her housefolk, warm under a blanket. But for some reason, they were gone today. Sadie never knew what her housefolk was saying, but it seemed like they were coming back. And they left the cat door open – did they want her to go outside. Sadie didn't want to make her housefolk unhappy. And there was a roof jutting out from outside the nest, with a small blanket if Sadie ever got tired. She padded farther out of the nest, leaping up onto the fence. The slippery wood felt strange on her paws. She peered down into the nest next to her, and there was another cat. One she didn't recognize. "Hello?" Sadie mewed.

Shore looked up on the fence and saw another cat. "Hello!" she meowed cheerfully, "What is your name? I'm Shore!" She padded over to the fence and looked up once more. Shore tried to climb the fence, but couldn't, so she waited at the bottom. "How are you? I'm good. Hmm?"

Why did she have to be taken away from her parents and her siblings? The young kit didn't understand. How was she suppose to, being only a couple moons old? She missed her family, speaking of which, why was her head feeling so weird? Chloe blinked her silver eyes as she awoke from a dream she has had alot lately. A dream which she see's her sister, somewhere in the forest...but where? If only she knew where Willow was. Luckily, she had a strong connection with Willow, and knew exactly what her sister was feeling and most of the time..thinking. It could be a little weird at times, but the young cat didn't mind. It meant that she could at least be with her sister in thought. As the kit yawned, awaking from her nap, she blinked her silver eyes once again. Chloe looked around her realizing she was back in the twoleg home, and no longer in the forest. She sighed and exited the bed that she had been given a few days ago...the day she had been forced to come and live in this home. The bed was huge, and the kit had room to roll around and play in. Her tiny paws padded out of the room of the twolegs and into another room. She was becoming more aware of her surroundings as the days passed by. She saw a plate of white liquidy stuff laying in the kitchen and began to purr. That was her meal. The twolegs had not tried her on anything other than this delicious stuff. It made her think of when she was smaller, well smaller than she is now, and with her siblings. It gave her a warm and happy feeling.
Chloe lapped the warm stuff with her tongue and licked her mouth as she got her fill. She returned back into the other room, and spotted something up high. It was a toy that the little twoleg had tried to throw at her. How was she suppose to know what to do with this ball of fluff (yarn)? But still, she had been entertained with it for several hours the previous day, and had heard strange noises come out of the twolegs mouth as they watched her hit it around the room with her paws. Knowing that she wasn't big enough to be able to jump up that high, she sighed and headed to the back door.
The owner had just recently put in a little tiny door in which she could just walk right through and go straight into the backyard. Now the backyard was something exciting to her. It was big and had lots of fun things to play with. But unfortunately she wasn't suppose to go outside unless one of the twolegs was with her. But then again, going outside may have the opportunity to see Willow again. After all, she did just have a dream with her sister being surrounded by trees. The little kit made her way out the door, watching the twolegs in the room smile at her and watch her leave. That is when she saw it..a huge slab of something was around the yard now. She overheard the mentioning of a fence, whatever that was. So maybe she could go out on her own for a little bit now. Chloe immediately went to the fence and began to scratch on it, thinking it was a new toy. This sure was fun! The voices of other cats didn't even phase the young kit, she was having too much fun on her own! Plus, speaking wasn't really her favorite thing to do.
