Oakstar strode out of her den, trying to look like she was confident, and stood on the highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath Highrock for a Clan meeting!" She called. Who knew that I'd be making my own kits apprentices?
Oakstar had told her mate about the apprentice ceremony, so Stormcloud had headed to the nursery to heard up his kits and Snowkit. "Come on, it's time for a clan meeting." He called. The six kits padded out of the den. Snowkit looked nervous, but Icekit, who looked confident and excited, comforted him by walking next to him and holding her tail tip on his shoulder. Featherkit looked a bit nervous and excited. Redkit was holding his head high, feeling extremely excited but trying to look mature.
Starkit followed his siblings with curiosity. He was calculating and analyzing everything around him. He could feel the vibrations of the cat's heartbeats and footsteps as Thunderclan assembled. So this is it. Will I get to train and become a warrior? He was far more nervous than anyone could tell and he could feel his own worry rolling off of him in waves.

OOC: Can you apprentice Nightkit, Sootkit, and Lionkit too?
BIC: Flamewhisker stepped out of the warrior den; he loved watching kits getting apprenticed – they seemed so innocent, and also so excited to become warriors. This was their first step into the world of Clan life – which was what made it so amazing to watch.

OOC: Yeah, there aren't going to be enough warriors for everyone, but I'll make them apprentices. I'm going to have warriors have multiple apprentices until we have enough mentors to go around. XD
BIC:
Oakstar met her deputy's gaze. He seemed totally fascinated. He's ready for an apprentice. As long as it's the right one. She thought carefully. "Today we have many kits that are ready to become apprentices." She began, running the list through her head to make sure she didn't miss anyone. "Nightkit, Sootkit, Lionkit, Icekit, Oceankit, Redkit, Featherkit, Starkit and Snowkit, come and join me on the highrock." She called.
Icekit tried to look noble as she climbed up to stand next to her mother, but it was hard to contain her excitement. Snowkit and Oceankit padded up next to her, excited and nervous.
Snowkit was the most nervous out of the three however, because he was about to branch off from his friends, going down a path that he would have to walk alone with only Starclan as his guide. Without Icekit... He thought sadly to himself.
Starkit was pretty nervous too, but he hid it extremely well. What's she going to do, send me away? What's the worst that could happen? He thought, attempting to comfort himself. He suppressed a shudder. Sadly Starkit was rather pessimistic, so he tried to avoid asking 'What's the worst that could happen'. His siblings seemed fine however. Redkit was glowing with pride, of course. Starkit could feel his brother's pride rolling off of his pelt like sickening waves. He's so sure of himself. He has no reason to worry. Starkit thought with a small pang of jealousy. Featherkit seemed a bit jittery, but she was probably just worried about Starkit...again and trying to hide it.

OOC: Okay, Flamewhisker can mentor one of the kits. BIC: Lionkit hopped up onto the Highrock, ready for whatever Oakstar was going to throw at him. He gazed at his sister, Nightkit, then looked at Sootkit. They seemed as proud at the golden brown tom. Their mother, Ravenfeather, stood proudly beside them, and couldn't stop smiling. Nightkit's gaze shifted to Oakstar, who was calling her, her brother and sister, and all of Oakstar's kits up to the Highrock. So soon? she thought. I get to be an apprentice so soon? Who do I get to train with?Sootkit was starting to stutter. She was excited, but also very nervous. Oh my gosh, I get to be an apprentice! I'll get to train with one of the warriors! This is going to be awesome, I know...

"Thunderclan is lucky to have so many healthy kits that are ready to become apprentices." Oakstar began. "Though they seem to have outnumbered our warriors." She added with a small grin.
"Let's start with Nightkit. I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Nightkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Nightpaw. And for now, Stormcloud will mentor you." She announced.
OOC: I'm going to do one at a time so you can rp their reactions.

Nightkit, now Nightpaw, beamed with excitement. She got to train with Stormcloud, who was Oakstar's mate and one of the best warriors in the whole Clan. I can't wait to start training, she thought. I wonder what I get to do first?

"Lionkit." Oakstar called. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. He would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Lionkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Lionpaw. And for now, Stormcloud will mentor you as well."
OOC: We're going to have to double up for the time being. But once we have enough warriors I'll make it so every apprentice has their own mentor. Is there any chance we could put a ban on Thunderclan apprentices for awhile, just so the warriors can catch up?

OOC: Yeah. I'll add that now. I figure Oakstar could mentor a kit, and so could Flamewhisker... Lionkit, now Lionpaw glanced over at his sister Sootkit, who was going to be last to be apprenticed. I'm an apprentice now! Look out ThunderClan, you'll be answering to Lionpaw now! He looked back over at his sister, who was still shaking from excitement.

Oakstar smiled lightly at how proud Lionpaw was. "Sootkit." She called. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Sootkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Sootpaw. I shall be your mentor." She announced.

I get to train with the clan leader! Sootpaw thought excitedly. This is great! I can't wait to start training... The new apprentice's thoughts washed away all of the other things that were going on. I'll be a great warrior, and I'll fight battles... and hopefully win them.

OOC: I'm going to finish the rest of them in one post since they're my cats.
BIC:
"Icekit." Oakstar called. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Icekit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Icepaw. Ravenfeather will mentor you for the time being."
Icepaw beamed with pride. She knew that Ravenfeather was a great warrior. Not all of the cats liked her because she was from Windclan, but Icepaw didn't care. She was excited to be training with such a great warrior.
"Oceankit." Oakstar called her next kit up. It was amazing how similar Icepaw and Oceankit looked. The only difference truly was their eye color. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Oceankit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Oceanpaw. Flamewhisker will mentor you for now." Oakstar knew that Oceanpaw wouldn't give Flamewhisker any trouble, unlike some of her other siblings.
Oceanpaw was surprised. Wow, I get to train with the deputy. And he seems so nice too. She thought in relief. She had been afraid that she'd get a really strict mentor.
"Redkit." Oakstar called. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. He would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Redkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Redpaw. Feathercloud will be your mentor." She announced.
Redpaw knew that Feathercloud was an excellent warrior. And so my training begins! I'm one step closer to being a warrior. He thought excitedly.
"Featherkit." Oakstar called. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Featherkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Featherpaw. Flamewhisker will mentor you for now."
I get to train with the deputy and Oceanpaw! Featherpaw thought excitedly. She was glad she'd get to train with her sister, even if it wasn't a permanent setup.
"Starkit." Oakstar called. Terror shot through Starkit's body as he approached his mother, looking as calm as possible. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. He would like to become a warrior of Thunderclan, but must first become an apprentice. Starkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Starpaw. Shadowstream will be your mentor." Noticing her kit's shock she gave him a reassuring tap on his shoulder.
I'm going to train to be a warrior. I get a chance. Now I can't blow it. I have to be as good as all the other apprentices- no, I have to be better if I'm going to prove that I can do this. Starpaw thought. He knew that Shadowstream was a very young and new warrior. I wonder if Oakstar paired me up with her because she doesn't think I'll be able to become a warrior. If that isn't the case, there's something special about Shadowstream. But which case is it?
"And last but not least, Snowkit." Oakstar called. Snowkit approached, looking a bit nervous. "Snowkit, are you sure that you wish to become the Medicine Cat Apprentice of Thunderclan?" She asked.
"Yes, I am." Snowkit confirmed.
"Then I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. I know that we do not have a Medicine Cat to train him yet, but he still wants to become this clan's Medicine Cat someday. He must first be an apprentice and train however. Snowkit, from this day forth until you complete your training you will be known as Snowpaw." She announced.

Shadowstream had wandered into the clearing, halfway during the ceremonies. The she-cat had been out trying to find some prey, knowing the new apprentices would need some before going on their separate ways the next day. She sat down, not too close to the front, and gazed up at Oakstar.
She remembered the day she was made an apprentice, her sister by her side. She remembered feeling excited and desperate to prove that she would be an excellent warrior. And then her warrior ceremony came, no more than a half-moon to this day. That was another indescribable feeling.
The warrior almost didn't hear Oakstar say that she was to mentor a kit. She was barely a warrior herself! Shadowstream's mind began to feel with several doubts. But she would have to put these away. Hearing her apprentice was Starpaw the she-cat couldn't help but smile. It really was a reminder of her dead sister. Oakstar couldn't have given her a more perfect first apprentice.
Her gaze shifted to Starpaw and she watched the apprentice with curiousity. He looked like every other kit to her, she didn't see a blind kit, she only saw an apprentice who was ready to train as a warrior. Why should she treat him any different?

Oakstar turned to the new apprentices. "You will all make excellent warriors." She said. "And Snowpaw will be a memorable medicine cat." And with that, the clan began to chant the new apprentice's names.
While his siblings and the other apprentices talked to clanmates and listened to congratulations, Starpaw sensed out through the clearing. He focused until he could find Shadowstream's scent. Then he matched her scent to her heartbeat and determined by the lack of vibrations that she was moving. He padded up to his mentor and nodded slightly. "Hello." He mewed in his unique tone.

Shadowstream had almost gotten to the point of confusing herself on which name she hadn't chanted when the chanting began. She hoped that she had said them all, or else she would feel guilty. The she-cat was watching the new apprentices and the rest of the clan converse and almost didn't hear Starpaw when he spoke. "Well hello." she said, a bit startled by the kit.
"I just want you to know, I am not treating you any different than any other apprentice. I know you want to be a warrior with your brother and sisters, and I hope that I will not dissapoint you in any way." Shadowstream said looking down at her apprentice.

Starpaw's ear twitched slightly as he tried to hide his irritation. He knew that Shadowstream had good intentions, but if she wasn't going to treat him differently, why mention his weakness at all? Oh well, nothing I can do about it, just relax. He told himself calmly. He nodded, not quite sure what to say that wouldn't be sarcastic, annoying or disrespectful in some way. He wanted to make a good impression because he'd need to prove himself to his mentor before he could even start proving himself to the rest of the clan.
Redpaw had finished talking to his clanmates when he spotted his brother talking to Shadowstream. Well, this could be fun. He thought. Starpaw seemed so absorbed in the conversation that Redpaw felt he had a chance sneaking up on his brother. He slid into a hunting crouch and starting sliding towards his brother, ready to pounce playfully from behind.
Starpaw felt the vibrations of Redpaw slithering towards him. Will he ever learn that a hunting crouch won't work on me? it sends off way too many vibrations. He sighed without meaning to.
